Ladies Day Style Tips from P.J. Gibbons
19 Jul 2010
- Firstly, dress appropriately for weather conditions on the day (in some cases, final decisions on a chosen outfit may only be made on the morning of Ladies Day).
- Consider bringing along a camel-coloured Mac, and/or umbrella.
- Classic style is returning for autumn/winter 2010, so opt for something 1950s-style in terms of dress or skirt suit. Twiggy-style dresses are also a big trend to re-emerge, and they look great.
- Be individual and put your own stamp on your look.
- Oversized billowing hats have not won any Ladies Day competitions so far this year.
- Look comfortable and at-ease in what you’re wearing.
- Nude colours remain hugely popular, while red and purple are the biggest shades for the coming season.
